21st Birthday

Okay, so Ive really really been slacking on the whole blogging business for a little while and I haven't even blogged about my birthday that I have just celebrated .. it was my 21st woop woop go me, can't believe I have lasted this long. Anyways for my main celebrations for my birthday I went to China White with some of my best bitches.. minus rhea because she is currently in Spain, but she was there in spirit !!

Oh and you know i was having so much fricking difficulty finding a dress for my birthday, i found one!! I was in Topshop in st albans ( where I'm from ) with my mum and I was getting more and more pissed off because it was getting late and the shops were closing and i needed a dress for the next day, anyways, searching around topshop, now i don't mind the odd piece from there but alot of the time i do think it is just overpriced shit so i didn't really think i was going to find anything in there then i found THIS BEAUTY

You know when you fall in love with something, you just gotta have it!! I was just walking around the shop hugging it, Anyways, its not from Topshop its like one of their concessions and it is from inLovewithfashion, you can visit there site here . I think it was around £50 but i am so so so in love with it !!
I was literally so lucky it was the only one and was in my sizeeeeee.... match made in heaven!! anyways i have been looking on their site and they have some really lovely stuff so go check that out by clicking on the image below girlie's!

The next day I went for a lovely meal with my mum, sister, nan and two aunties and got some really lovely presents from them, My aunt Julie got me this beautiful skirt from Riverisland, I shall take a photograph of me in it as soon as it is hot enough weather, i cannot wait to pair it up with some wedges and a basic white t

She was also a complete babe and had looked on my blog and seen the pink rabbit purse that i had mentioned before and got me that !!
From my mum and dad i got my rose gold Micheal Kors watch which i am completely and utterly in love with, ill post a picture of it a bit later but Ive gone on about it so much on my blog i think you all know which one I'm talking about ;)

My sister got me a gorgeous silver bracelet from a little boutique in Brighton and from alot of my other members of family I got money :) which is always great.

Theeeeeeeeeeeeeen on Tuesday.. it was only one thing... TUESDAYBOOZEDAY with my soton bitchezz!! It was so lovely because Taya decorated the living room with birthday girl banners and balloons while all my girlie's dressed up and we got drunk on crunk!! I also got a hugggge bottle of perfume from my two bestiess sock and megstar

Alex Box Demonstration

I am currently in my third year at Southampton Solent on course of hair and makeup design, Although I don't want to go into makeup design after I have finished university, the course has really helped me excel in expressing my ideas visually, and this final year has been really good because i have been able to do exactly what interests me in the fashion industry and I shall hopefully have an amazing portfolio and final major project to help me get to where I want to be after university, although I'm not too sure on what direction that will be...anyways, today at university we had a demonstration by the amazing Alex Box who is a  Makeup Artist and is one of the founders for the British makeup brand Illamasqua. Alex Box late last year was awarded a honorary degree doctor of design at Solent for pushing the boundaries with her visionary style.  If you havent heard of Illamasqua I would really suggest giving their website a check out because their makeup products are fantastic. Back to the point Alex Box did a demonstration today in one of Solents lecture theatres creating a free styled look on a model. There are really no words for what it was like, she had over 100 girls sitting at her in awe of her while she applied the makeup to her model for just over an hour compltely free hand. 

Alex played a selection of music throughout the demonstration and it was really interesting to see how the look developed while the music genre changed, Alex later on told us that she is always listening to music while doing makeup and the look was changing in the mood of the music. 

So, here are a few of the photographs i got today from the demonstration, ill try to put them in order so you are able to see the development of the look throughout 

The photographs dont really show how amazing this work was, like everything about the skin was so perfect, it looked air brushed, all the colours where blended so perfectly and created an almost alien like face that was so beautiful!!

Get to know me

So I have been a really bad blogger recently, everyones been on at me on tumblr telling me to get my act together and get blogging again! Sorry, my head has been somewhere else ( where...? im not too sure) Anyways I have been getting busy with my final major projct for university so thats why I have been busy, I have also just had my 21st Birthday, which im going to do a huge blog about maybe tomorrow or thursday and show you loads of pictures and other shit e.g presents blablabla... ermm what else has been happening in my life, oh I got a 2:1 for my dissertation.. fuckyeahwinning. Okay its not a 1st but a 2:1... HYFR! anyways this is just a quick post that I saw on another blog so i thought i would copy, its a kinda.. get to know me blogging kinda thing soo, here goes..

1. Are you named after anyone?

Nope, i have no interesting nice story about why my name is Jessica, I wish i was named after someone, or maybe after a song or something.. im going to ask my mum tomorrow why they named me jessica and then update this

2. When was the last time you cried?

I cried last night.. I know boohoo poor me. No I think i've been holding back a good cry in ages, before yesterday I havent cried in months and I think last night everything just got the better of me so I had a 5 minute frantic cry then I felt alot better straight after... holding in your emotions is not healthy kids

3. Do you have kids?

Nope.

4. If you were another person, would you be a friend of yourself?

Erm, i know most people will probably answer this with yes, but I would befriend myself I think, I know i make daft decisions, get really drunk and sometimes need to be carried home and I bore alot of my friends with my weekly moans but I like to think that I'm a good friend to my close friends, if they need me I'm always there. I'm not perfect and I'm kinda selfish but I would never ever intentionally hurt one of my friends

5. Do you use sarcasm a lot?

Not really, i only ever use sarcasam when someones being stupid or cocky.. there was a time when I was in school and everyone and I mean EVERYONE spoke sarcastically all the fucking time, no one ever ever ever ever said any thing sincerly so after that I think sarcasam kinda died for me.

6. Will you ever Bungee Jump?

Noooo, I always have the fear that I would smash me head in... but I am planning on doing a Sky dive at some point this year... which is probably more likely the reason I'll smash me had in

7. What's your favorite cereal?

Special K, All day.

8. What's the first thing you notice about people?

 In the oppersite sex im quite shallow, and apperance is everything to begin with, i like nice dressed guys, with good teeth and good hair... but if their personality is wank or their a knob head then they could be trey songz and it wouldnt be appealing.

9. What is your eye colour?

Bluey Grey

10. Scary movie or happy endings?

Happy ending, im a sucker for a rom com, the whole meet each other fall in love, someone does a dickheady kinda thing then they dont speak then the one who was a dickhead makes up by doing some romantic gesture like flying across the world to stop their wedding then they live happily ever after

11. Favorite smells?

I love petrol.

12. Summer or winter?

Summer, just because of the heat. I used to like winter because i always thought winter fashion was alot better but when i think about it.. its not.. i wanna get my legs out. Plus summer means, later nights, bbqs, jaques cider, garden parties trips to the beach blablabla and winter means... cuddeling up with your boyfriend.. and if you dont have a boyfriend you cuddle up to a hot chocolate and sing ' All By Myself'

13. Computer or television?

Computer, i love tumblr, i love facebook, i love blogger and i can watch tv on here. In all honestly i probably need to get a bit more of a life. 

14. What's the furthest you've ever been from home?

Erm, America? I went to miami and new york with my best bitch rhea about two years ago and thats the furthest ive been without my parents... it was amaaaaaazing.

15. Do you have any special talents?

I click my bones.. not like just fingers like i can click my neck,nose,back,shoudler blades,knees... i wouldnt really say it was a special talent.. more of a wierd one

Two sisters, Holly and Lynsey and a brother, Ian.
